  • $10 for a lost card
  • $5 for renewal of DukeCard when old card is present.

It's my first time getting a DukeCard, what should I bring and where do I go to pick up my DukeCard?

PLEASE bring a photo ID and the funds to cover the cost of your card ($5).

If you plan to join the Gym, please bring money to cover the cost of your membership (see details below under DukeCard Benefits).

If you plan to add FLEX Funds to your DukeCard, please bring money to cover that as well.

FLEX Funds: FLEX Funds can be used to purchase food/drinks at Fuqua, basketball games, Bryan center and are REQUIRED in order to attend paid classes at the gym (e.g., cycling).

*** It is recommended that you get the FLEX option on your card while you're there, even if you don't add money to it initially. This at least gives you the option to add it at a later date.

I'm married to my Student - Can't I just take my marriage license to the DukeCard office and get my Spouse DukeCard there?

No, DukeCards for all Fuqua Partners must be processed through the Fuqua Partners DukeCard Form in order to receive access to the Fuqua building, Fuqua Parking lots and Fuqua Library.

In addition to access to these important Fuqua amenities, processing through the Fuqua Partners DukeCard Form extends DukeCard access to non-married partners including fiancés, boyfriends and girlfriends (this is a very special and recently instituted privilege unique to Fuqua).

What should I do if I am/going to be employed by Duke University and will get a DukeCard as an employee?

Anyone who is/will be an employee of Duke CAN ONLY RECEIVE ONE CARD AND IT MUST BE THEIR EMPLOYEE DUKECARD. The good news is that it can have multiple access grants (e.g., Fuqua building Fuqua parking, and Fuqua Library can be added).

Those partners should send an email to president@fuquapartners.org once they've received their employee card to get these grants updated. Please provide your full name and Unique ID (noted on the back of your employee DukeCard).

The minor only issue would be that the employee card is not a student/spouse card as "required" for access to some sporting events using student tickets, but this hasn't proved to be an issue in the past.

Who should I contact with questions about the DukeCard?
