For couples with children we have a special division of Fuqua Partners called Fuqua Families. Fuqua Families sponsors various activities such as playgroups, music classes, story time, fieldtrips to local attractions and festivals, and holiday parties for the children.
Once an applicant has been admitted to the school, he or she will receive an admit packet in the mail that will contain a comprehensive relocation guide called Life at Fuqua. This handbook contains helpful resources for parents, including local school listings, area playgrounds, and childcare options in the area. The Partners Survival Guide also has great information and resources for families.
Below we describe the activities Fuqua Families plans on a regular basis for the Fuqua children. Any Fuqua child and Fuqua Parent or Partner is welcome at these activities. All activities are advertised via the Partners Web Site. There is no need to sign up. You can choose to attend only those activities that fit your interest or schedule! We are also always looking for suggestions for new activities to add, and for Parents who are interested in volunteering to lead activities. There are many ways to get involved!

Fuqua Families Activities and Info
All activities listed below are generally geared towards children from birth to age 5 (based on the ages of the majority of Fuqua children), but all ages are welcome! If your children are older and would like to be involved, we are happy to take suggestions for additional activities. See the suggestions window to your right.
FOR ALL ACTIVITIES A PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST BE PRESENT WITH THEIR CHILDREN.
Singing and Stories (aka Music Class)
This class is held every Friday afternoon for 45 minutes, during Fuqua Fridays. Parents share favorite children's books, and then we sing children's songs. We invite anyone with musical talent to help!
Dance Class
Dance is generally held one afternoon per month for 45 minutes. It is a chance for children and parents to dance and exercise along to favorite tunes, like Disney and the Wiggles.
Craft Class
Craft is generally held one afternoon per month for 45 minutes. Each time, we make a special project the children can take home, often geared to the season or holiday coming up.
Playgroup
This is generally held once every week or two weeks. We all meet at a local park or someone's home and give the children a chance to run, play, and socialize.
Field Trips
We try to plan 1 field trip per term, to places such as children's museums, pumpkin or strawberry picking, farms/zoos, etc.
Holiday Parties
We have very special parties for the Fuqua Families for Halloween, the Winter Holidays, and Spring -- complete with games and treats!
Potlucks
We generally hold Families potlucks once per term or semester. This is a time when Families can share their special cuisine and socialize.
